Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the KompaKt platform operated by KompaKt ("we", "our", or "us"). By accessing or using our service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Account Registration

To use KompaKt, you must create an account by providing accurate and complete information. You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By registering a company, you represent that you have the authority to bind that company to these Terms.

2. Acceptable Use

You agree to use KompaKt only for lawful business purposes. You may not:

  • Use the service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data
  • Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
  • Interfere with or disrupt the service or its infrastructure
  • Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to extract data from the platform
  • Resell or redistribute the service without our written consent
  • Use the service to send spam or unsolicited communications

3. Your Data

You retain full ownership of all data you enter into KompaKt, including invoices, customer records, financial data, timesheets, and uploaded files. We do not claim any ownership rights over your data.

You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your data solely for the purpose of providing the service to you. This license terminates when you delete your account.

You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of the data you enter. We are not liable for any errors in your invoices, tax calculations, or financial records.

4. Multi-Company & User Management

KompaKt supports multiple companies under a single user account. As a company administrator (Super Admin), you are responsible for:

  • Managing user access and permissions within your company
  • Ensuring that users you invite have appropriate authorization
  • Revoking access for users who should no longer have it

When you add an existing user to your company, you acknowledge that the user may belong to other companies. You cannot modify the user's personal information (name, email) — only their role within your company.

5. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability of the KompaKt platform. However, we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. The service may be temporarily unavailable due to:

  • Scheduled maintenance (we will provide advance notice when possible)
  • Emergency maintenance to address security or stability issues
  • Factors beyond our reasonable control (e.g., internet outages, natural disasters)

6. Pricing, Payments & Refunds

KompaKt offers both free and paid plans. For paid plans:

  • Prices are listed on our pricing page and may change with 30 days' notice
  • Payments are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis
  • We reserve the right to suspend access for overdue payments

Refund Policy

We believe in earning your trust. If you are not satisfied with KompaKt, we offer prorated refunds:

  • You may request a refund at any time by contacting us at support@gokompakt.com
  • Refunds are calculated on a prorated basis for the unused portion of your billing period
  • For monthly plans, the refund covers the remaining days in the current billing month
  • For annual plans, the refund covers the remaining full months in the current billing year
  • Refunds are processed within 7-10 business days to the original payment method
  • Upon refund, your account will be downgraded to the Starter (free) plan. Your data will not be deleted.

7. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time from the Company Profile settings. Upon deletion:

  • A 7-day grace period is provided during which you can cancel the deletion
  • Reminder emails are sent during the grace period
  • After 7 days, all company data is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, with or without notice depending on the severity of the violation.

8. Intellectual Property

The KompaKt platform, including its design, code, features, and branding, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on our platform.

Your company logo, data, and content remain your intellectual property.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • KompaKt is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied
  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • We are not liable for any loss of data, revenue, or business opportunities arising from your use of the service
  • Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless KompaKt and its officers, directors, and employees from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the service or violation of these Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the platform. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
