We store the data you enter into the platform, including invoices, quotes, customer records, supplier records, expenses, timesheets, project details, and financial reports. This data belongs to you and is stored on your behalf.
1.3 Usage Data
We automatically collect information about how you interact with our service, including IP addresses, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. This helps us improve the platform and diagnose issues.
1.4 Files & Documents
When you upload files such as company logos, expense receipts, or other documents, these are stored securely on Amazon Web Services (AWS) S3 infrastructure.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide, operate, and maintain the KompaKt platform
- To process your transactions and send related information (invoices, receipts, confirmations)
- To send administrative emails such as password resets, security alerts, and account notifications
- To respond to your comments, questions, and support requests
- To monitor and analyze usage patterns to improve the service
- To detect, prevent, and address technical issues and security threats
3. Data Isolation & Multi-Tenancy
KompaKt is a multi-tenant platform. Each company's data is logically isolated using company-level scoping. Users belonging to multiple companies can only access data for the company they are currently active in. We enforce this isolation at the application level on every database query.
4. Data Sharing & Disclosure
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share information in the following limited circumstances:
- With service providers who assist us in operating the platform (e.g., AWS for hosting, email delivery services). These providers are bound by confidentiality obligations.
- If required by law, regulation, or legal process (e.g., court order or subpoena)
- To protect the rights, property, or safety of KompaKt, our users, or the public
- In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with prior notice to affected users
5. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data:
- All data is transmitted over HTTPS with TLS encryption
- Passwords are hashed using bcrypt (never stored in plain text)
- Two-factor authentication (2FA) is available for all accounts
- Files are stored on AWS S3 with server-side encryption
- Database access is restricted to application-level connections only
- Regular automated backups are maintained
- Audit logs track all significant actions within the platform
6. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will delete your data within 7 days of the scheduled deletion date, after sending reminder notifications. Certain data may be retained longer if required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., tax records).
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Export your data (invoices, reports, timesheets) in standard formats (PDF, CSV)
- Withdraw consent for optional communications at any time
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@gokompakt.com.

Our platform may integrate with third-party services for specific functionality (e.g., live chat support). These services have their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them.
